The State Officers Candidate School option (Traditional Course) is over the course of 13 months (one weekend a month and 2 annual training periods). Upon commissioning, each officer will attend an Officer Basic Course within the following 18 months (one six-month extension may be granted) in the branch to which he or she is assigned. This program is structured so that you can earn your commission with a minimum of disruption to your civilian employment, family life and education. The State OCS for Mississippi is located on Camp Shelby, MS at the 154th Regiment (RTI).
